How To Set Sleep Timer On Roku? (3 Methods)

Roku devices have all the necessary features to ensure optimal performance and longevity. Among these features is the Roku sleep timer, which, when used wisely, provides additional benefits such as preventing overheating issues, conserving energy, enhancing fire safety, and mitigating the risk of screen burn damage.

The sleep timer feature on a TV is designed to automatically turn off the TV when the preset time is reached. If you habitually watch your favorite movies at night and tend to fall asleep, you can set a timer on your Roku TV. Additionally, you can use this method if you are using the Roku Android or iOS mobile application.

Roku Automatic power savings mode

Rather than the sleep timer, you can set automatic power savings mode on your Roku TV to reduce power consumption.

So, how to enable auto power savings mode?

Go to the settings option and then select system settings.

Then navigate to the Power option from there. Select the Auto power savings tab and click the OK button on the remote.

You’ll get two options there.

  • Reduce power after 15 minutes – This will allow the TV to reduce the power when there is no signal and no interaction for 15 minutes.
  • Turn off after 4 hours – This will turn off your TV after 4 hours when there is no interaction between you (remote) and the TV for 4 hours.  This is not applicable when you are watching a Live TV or videos.
